Types of Golf Balls

When shopping for golf supplies, there are three types of golf balls to consider. This variety gives golfers an opportunity to customize the game they want to play.
Two piece golf balls
This type of golf ball is for distance. The majority of golf balls that are found in sporting good stores are of this variety. Two piece golf balls are comprised of two parts. The inside of the ball is a sold rubber core with a plastic or rubber covering. As a general rule, this type of golf ball is lower spinning. As a result, your slice or hook spin is not as noticeable. Another added benefit is that the ball flies straighter. If you have a slower swing, less than 85 MPH, then this is the golf ball for your game.
Three piece hybrid golf balls
As the name implies, this kind of gold ball features three layers. It does include a solid core but it is surrounded by what is referred to as a mantle layer and then covered with plastic or urethane. The main features of this ball are its increased performance as well as more control over its spin.
Three or four piece performance golf balls
These golf balls have either three or four layers depending upon the name. They are typically used by golfing professionals as well as low handicap golfers who demand balls that handle their high swing speeds.
When shopping for golf balls, there are basically three main types available on the market today. The golf ball to use depends on your golf game. With proper selection, play the best game possible.
